LG’s flagship Optimus G Pro , due to launch on AT&T on May 10th, might just make its way to Sprint later this year — and possibly with an upgraded processor. It’s been longer than a year since Jon Rubinstein left his throne at HP and WebOS, and since then, we haven’t heard much from him. When Jon Rubinstein came out of retirement from Apple to join Palm way back in 2007, little did he know the odyssey upon which he and Palm were about to embark. From launching the Palm Pre less than two years later, becoming Palm CEO , guiding Palm into HP's money-filled arms , launching the HP TouchPad tablet , and then watching as all the work he'd overseen got flushed down the toilet, Rubinstein's tenure at the lead of webOS was one of ups and downs, successes and utter chaos. Qualcomm is planning to broaden its marketing efforts for its Snapdragon processor with a commercial to play in movie theaters and a TV ad campaign. Vendors such as Samsung , HTC and LG have turned to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 processor to power their flagship devices . The chipset has been praised for its high-end performance and efficient power consumption, and Qualcomm is promising an even better user experience with its Snapdragon 800 processor. Qualcomm introduced new Snapdragon processors back at CES 2013. While devices powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 (such as the HTC One and North American Samsung Galaxy S4) are now available, we are still waiting to find out what devices will be powered by the even more powerful Snapdragon 800.
