Carrier IQ, Samsung, And HTC All Facing Class Action Lawsuits

To say that Carrier IQ has been going through a lot is a bit of an understatement, and it looks like things are only getting worse. PaidContent reports that two class action lawsuits — one from Missouri and the other from Illinois — have been filed against the Mountain View-based company for supposedly violating the Federal Wiretap Act. We saw the first image purporting to show the “HTC Ville” earlier this month , although there wasn't much to see, just another rounded black slab containing a screen of some description. Now a brand new render of the rumored device has appeared over at Pocketnow , showing what's apparently a 4.3-inch display on a phone with a thickness of just 8.49mm. HTC ‘re-evaluates’ S3 Graphics deal following patent defeat by Apple

Just four months have passed since HTC announced its amorous intentions towards S3 Graphics and already the romance seems to be going sour. S3 lost its battle against Apple at the ITC a couple of days ago, devaluing its patent portfolio and subsequently forcing HTC into a “holistic re-evaluation” of its $300 million acquisition of the company.
