I spent the past week using the PixelSkin Case for iPhone 4. Speck has a lot of great accessory lines from iPhone cases and skins to everything iPad and iPod as well, but I was a little hesitant at first as I’m not a fan of cases that add bulk and most pattern or etched cases do. I was pleasantly surprised with this one and still have it on my iPhone. I’ve never been a huge fan of textured cases, but this one is deceiving. . . . → Read More: Speck PixelSkin Case for iPhone 4 – Accessory Review

Sure, there are any number of phones with dual SIM card slots , most of them built for Asian markets, but the iPhone 4 is about the furthest thing from dual SIM: in fact, it doesn’t even have one Big Person SIM to call its own. Luckily, USBFever has a hacktastic solution to this problem (a followup to their iPhone 3G version ), with a new $30 case that can host dual full size SIM cards on the back of an iPhone 4 (entombed in some classy clear plastic, naturally), while running an adapter to the iPhone 4’s micro SIM slot . . . → Read More: Dual SIM iPhone 4 case gives your multiple personality disorder a new lease on life

Well, it didn’t take long for the Apple Peel 520 to go from pioneering phone-maker to competition. Enter the tPhone, an also derivatively named and similarly positioned device that attaches to an iPod Touch and turns it into a phone. This one packs a 1,200mAh battery, 50 percent larger than the Apple Peel, but offsets that by existing as a “super-duper thick” hard case that clips on to the Touch . . . → Read More: tPhone competes with Apple Peel 520, turns your iPod Touch into a chubby phone

At this point, we’re starting to think that Motorola is intentionally (and cruelly) teasing us with its Droid successor. Today we can add to the parade of leaks preceding the Droid 2 ’s debut in the form of the above hard case, which has just landed in Best Buy’s storerooms. Before you go off on some conspiracy theory comparing this to the iPhone’s Bumper and questioning whether this Droid might need a jacket , you should be aware that Rocketfish does similar paraphernalia for the Droid Incredible, marking this out as an entirely un remarkable run-of-the-mill accessory . . . → Read More: Droid 2 cases arrive at Best Buy, Droid 2s soon to follow?

Automatic refunds, or so the email says. We’ve been on the receiving end of a deluge of tips this morning pointing out that Apple has begun funneling cash back into its users’ pockets — a most unusual event, to be sure — to live up to its retroactive promise of free Bumpers for all (who buy their iPhone 4 before September 30). If the particular wording is to be trusted, that should mean that even those who haven’t yet bothered to put in a claim, but did purchase a Bumper, will find themselves enriched in due course . . . → Read More: Apple starts refunding Bumper purchases automagically
