Gizmodo has posted details of some clarification from T-Mobile and Orange UK regarding their Everything Everywhere setup. Both sets of customers will have access to both networks which in my opinion offers a major advantage in terms of coverage

Quaint little coffee shop

The smartphone truly has arrived. According to the big technology sites and even the mainstream news the smartphone is the new mobile phone, but we tend to ignore such hyperbole because there is a new big thing every week. While on holiday last week I decided to take my family for lunch and we ended up in a quaint coffee shop that served sandwiches, tea and post food to older people of a certain class

iOS 4.1 coming next Wednesday

Apple has confirmed on its UK site that iOS 4.1 will be released next Wednesday (8th September). It will be interesting to see if the proximity sensor is fixed in this update, desperate for that one to start working, and to check out the HDR Photography option. Don’t forget that Game Center and HD video uploading will also arrive with this update
