Lenovo is one of the world’s largest PC makers, but they know that they future is all about smartphones and tablets. Despite several attempts to enter the mobile device market, Lenovo hasn’t been satisfied with what they’ve accomplished, so today they’re announcing that they’ve started construction on the “Lenovo Industrial Base” in Wuhan, China . It’s expected to cost about $800 million and the estimated date of completion is October 2013

A Belgian advocacy group took a group of teens, put them behind the wheel and told them to text and drive. Rather than an enthusiastic pump of the fist, the teens became flustered and confused when forced to do both tasks at the same time.

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said he is cutting his salary to allay investors concerns about the high cost of the iPhone, according to a Reuters’ report . Hesse will give up a total of $3,250,830 in incentive compensation from 2011 and 2012 to offset the high cost of the Apple smartphone. It is thought that Sprint pays a 40 percent subsidy for the iPhone (about $200 per device), which is much more than it pays for competing devices

Mobile social gaming industry keeps consolidating, with GREE announcing acquisition of Funzio, the company behind such popular titles as Crime City, Modern War and Kingdom Age, which combined boast more than 20 million downloads.
