Despite rumors of a potential merger with Sprint, AT&T and Deutsche Telekom have entered definitive agreement for the sale of T-Mobile USA to AT&T for $39 billion in cash and stocks. While T-Mobile US isn’t exactly a giant, it’s big enough to result in a combined subscriber base of 130 million individuals.

HTC Thunderbolt Well that was quick! Just yesterday in the land of XDA, the ThunderBolt was temp rooted. While that is helpful for certain tasks such as selecting a governor for your kernel, it isn’t really what we think of when we hear that a phone has been “rooted.” It certainly didn’t take the gang at the XDA-Developers forums long to sort this matter out for us.
